Music is easy for me and my friends Time is just an instrument Comfort wraps you in a blanket til yer dead My portal is a mirror Look how it sounds See how it hears Comfort wraps you in a blanket til yer dead Time ain’t nothin’ but an instrument Time ain’t nothin’ but an instrument Time ain’t nothin’ but an instrument

I’m awake Afraid of knowing that I’m on the other level Handshake Covid’s over Why so afraid of falling in love ? Tongue tied Runnin’ round, I’m humming sounds that you’ve never heard of Second sky in my eyes Yea I’m on the other level Fuck malls, fuck them all Don’t ask me why Im on another level Tongue tied Runnin’ round, I’m humming sounds that you’ve never heard of (that you’ve never heard)

moving thru 02:24
Can you feel it ? One by one, move thru Can you feel it ? Riding through the city smoking blunts with my Heaven, yea Stopping at the Cousin’s smoking blunts with my Heaven, yea Pulling up to Sammie’s smoking blunts with my Heaven, yea

He is a ladder She is a shed He is the lightbulb She is the bed He’s in the fog She’s in the sky One is the needle One is the eye One is the eye Oh, what’s the difference Who’s to say What’s a difference Anyway He is a ladder She is a shed (Evoke)
5.
I’m looking at the shining stream of birds over the field Chasing traces of the sky along the side It’s hard to see what’s guiding me And what might be a siren If you fall asleep now you won’t see the running waters If you fall asleep now you won’t see the rising sun We’re all flying towards the silver fixture In the arms of everyone Im sitting in the fixer til the silver stains my skin While the murder out front are keeping me awake They’re taunting me from the bare canopy About my thoughtless wake and my dreamless sleep They’ve been gone for half a season But I can still hear their songs If you fall asleep now you won’t see the running waters If you fall asleep now you won’t see the rising sun We’re all flying towards the silver fixture In the arms of everyone In the arms of everyone In the arms of everyone In the arms of everyone
6.
Fell asleep beneath the muted moon Woke up bathed in the pure light ( bright white light ) Flooded and blinded in the blooming of the night Turn away, forget the sight Your eyes are shimmering like stars behind the leaves If it weren’t so cold I’d stay forever To catch a glimpse of something I have never seen A shine so warm It quells my shiver Iridescence on an otherwise empty surface Show me stillness or so show me violence Tell me why because I need to know I need to know Climbing towards the silent mountaintop Standing on the bottom of the sky “I’ll meet You there” “Break of dawn” “To look you right in your eyes” “To look you right in your eyes”

our body 02:43
Under Eden Sleeping with my necklace on Out with the old Out with the new, too Our body There’s no falling out of it Our body There’s no falling out of it Oh, to kiss you beside The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even

yea you are my bread and the hairline noise of my bones you are almost the sea you are not stone or molten sound I think you have no hands laying in the open mouth of a new world seen the clouds in a dream You are my Earth now stitched together by a shared sky there’s my old earth on the other side this kind of bird flies backward and this love breaks on a windowpane where no light talks this is not time for crossing tongues ( the sand here never sifts ) this kind of bird flies backward and this love breaks on a windowpane where no light talks You are my Earth now

about

Preface Artifact by Comfort. These songs were written and recorded by Alex LaVallee and Evan King during a week in the month of May 2021. The laptop and interface being used to record this mixtape were stolen last week, along with a considerable amount of sounds and arrangement adjustments that were unfortunately not backed up. This left us with an choice to make; take a few months to recuperate the stolen gear and get back to work on it, or drop it as a mixtape and get started on the next thing. We put this shit out.
